PAUL REVERE: The Man, The Midnight Ride, and the Outcome of his Famous Journey
Born on December 21, 1734 (according to the Old Style calendar then in use), or January 1, 1735 (in the modern
calendar) (Triber, 7), Paul Revere was an American silversmith, early industrialist, and a patriot in the American
Revolution. He is most famous for alerting Colonial militia of approaching British forces before the Battles of Lexington and
Concord, the first battles to take place during the American Revolution, in what is known as “The Midnight Ride” of Paul
Revere. But who was Paul Revere? What really took place on his famous midnight ride? Did his ride to warn
other colonists that the British were coming lead to Colonial victory at the first battles of the
Revolutionary War - the Battles of Lexington and Concord?
